The Toutsie looking to rule Oaklawn

Mike Stidham’s glamazon of a filly Toutsie Rules is looking to heat up a decidedly frigid looking Oaklawn Park this week, when she lines up in the Dixie Belle Stakes Friday.

Unbeaten in two starts, including a gutsy display at Fair Grounds late November last year, Toutsie Rules is one of 11 fillies scheduled to line up in the $100,000 race over six furlongs. Jockey James Graham is poised for the mount, and word from the barn is that this three-year-old daughter of Roman Ruler is positively bouncing at present.

But there’s a caveat: If the Siberian conditions persist at the Arkansas track, the race could be re-scheduled for next week.

Stidham also has a trifecta of runners booked-in for Fair Grounds tomorrow: Indygo Bo and Fantasize both in the third, while Masquerade is entered in the fifth.

Don’t forget to check back in again later this week for a review of the week’s action, and a look ahead to the weekend.
