Ticking along nicely…

We’re almost exactly half-way through the current winter meet at Fair Grounds, and the Stidham barn is ticking along very nicely indeed.

The highlight thus far, of course, has been the sensational victory of Notte d’Oro in the Marie G. Krantz Memorial Handicap – one of a string of fine performances by runners of the fairer sex in Stidham’s stable. And the likes of Katie’s Eyes, Kingston Terrace and Toutsie Rules have all done their bit to the reinforce the feeling that the girls are running the show in the Stidham barn at present!

And let’s not forget that we have Istanford, one of last year’s break out stars, lurking in the wings and poised to begin her 2015 campaign.

This week, Stidham has four possibilities at adding to his 13-strong win haul at the Louisiana track this year, with Squatty and Swift Sword holding entries Thursday, and Forest Elf and Kids Rule in on Friday.

Check back in again later this week for a recap of the week’s events, and a look ahead to the weekend action.
