Weekend update

The evergreen I Dazzle is seeking to close out the current Fair grounds meet with a flourish for Mike Stidham when she lines up in the $60,000 Red Camelia Stakes this afternoon – the same race she claimed 12 months prior.

One of eight scheduled to line up in the mile race on the turf, I Dazzle has proven a potent weapon at this level since moving to the Stidham barn. And with jockey James Graham set to take the mount, the seven year-old mare is a 9/5 shot on the Morning Line to add yet another chequered flag to her win record. Sylvia’s Warrior runs on the undercard.

Tomorrow sees the return of one of Stidham’s mega-stars from last season, Stellaris, who finished runner-up in the Grade I Del Mar Oaks, Grade III Arlington Oaks and Northbound Pride Oaks during a highly admirable campaign. Stidham has found a nice allowance to reintroduce this four-year-old daughter of Harlan’s Holiday back into the rigors of competition. Lawly’s Goal appears in the undercard.

Don’t forget to check back in again for a review of the weekend action.
