Istanford and Notte d’Oro are the headline acts for Mike Stidham on a action packed weekend for the stable.
Istanford is one of nine to line up in the $300,000 Grade II Honey Fox Stakes at Gulfstream Park today – a mile race on the turf. Istanford made a highly satisfactory 2015 debut a few weeks backs, and Dawn and Ike Thrash’s multiple graded-stake winner is a 5-1 chance on the morning line to prevail under jockey Corey Lanerie.
One race later, Notte d’Oro is one of nine in the $150,000 Grade III Orchid Stakes – a mile and a half race on the turf. Notte d’Oro, owned by Twin Creeks Farm and Tom and Nancy Clark, has already claimed the Marie G. Krantz Memorial Handicap this season, and she’s a 12-1 chance to win under jockey Joe Bravo.
During closing weekend at Fair Grounds, Stidham has Infinite Magic in today and Kingston Terrace tomorrow, while on Monday, it’s the turn of Ike Walker at Oaklawn Park.
Check back in again early next week for a round up of the weekend action.
