Weekend update

It’s another sizzler of a weekend for the Stidham stable, with Notte d’Oro going for the Minnesota H. B. P. A. Distaff Stakes (a race Stidham’s Every Way finished a fine second in last year) and Warriorscmoutoplay headed to the Jostle Stakes amid an array of runners.

Notte d’Oro faces seven other rivals in the $75,000 Minnesota H. B. P. A. Distaff Stakes at Canterbury Park tomorrow – a mile race on the turf. The winner of the Marie G. Krantz Memorial Handicap earlier this year has the able service of jockey Luis Garcia in the saddle, and she’s a 6-1 shot on the morning line.

Over at Parx Racing, the horse with a riddle of a name, Warriorscmoutoplay, faces six other rivals in the $75,000 Jostle Stakes – a six-and-a-half furlong contest. Warriorscmoutoplay is riding high at the moment, having won both his most recent starts, and he’s a 2-1 shot on the morning-line. Jamie Theriot takes the mount.

Stidham’s weekend runners are scattered far and wide. Today, Lewis Vale lines up at Arlington. Tomorrow, Tocqueville heads to Prairie Meadows, and Kids Rule crosses the border to Woodbine.

At Arlington Sunday, Stidham shoots two arrows: Masquerade and Hartford Road.

Check back in again early next week for a review of the weekend action.
