Warriorscmoutoplay produced a stunning performance to land the Jostle Stakes at Parx Racing over the weekend – one of three wins for the Stidham stable over the past three days.
Given a peach of a ride by jockey Jamie Theriot, Warriorscmoutoplay was settled mid pack for the first half of the race before asserting her dominance down the home stretch. Once clear, she rocketed away from the field to post a two-and-a-quarter length victory at the wire.
This was Warriorscmoutoplay’s third win in succession. Owners Feel The Thunder Stable, Breeheim, Herman and Haynes Stables LLC sure have an exciting filly on their hands, and don’t be surprised to see her named among graded stake opponents sometime in the near future.
On Friday, Lewis Vale showed himself to be a colt of no inconsiderable talent for owner David Ross when claiming his second career victory at Arlington. Almost plum last coming out of the gates, Lewis Vale made relentless headway down the stretch to pass the post a neck to the good. He’s another one with stake race aspirations written all over him.
Talking of taking performances, the ex-Argentine Tocqueville produced a nice winning run on only her second start in this county at Prairie Meadows Saturday. Given a wily ride by jockey Alex Canchari, Tocqueville passed the post almost two-lengths clear of the second horse home for owners Mt. Brilliant Farm LLC.
Later this week, Stidham has Skirts on Fire and Fancy Ticket entered at Arlington Thursday, while Path of David lines up at Churchill Downs the same day.
Check back in again later this week for a review of the week’s action, and a look ahead to the weekend.
