News galore!

A quiet start to the week for the Stidham barn means that we have a rare window with which to keep fans of the stable up to date with the latest news. So, without any further ado, let’s get going!

Katie’s Eyes, who remains unbeaten since joining the barn (having hoovered up a couple of nice stake races the last two times she’s been sighted on the track), is headed up to Woodbine for the Grade II Highlander Stakes worth a tidy $200,000 on July 5.

Istanford, last year’s Grade II San Clemente winner, is looking for more Del Mar gold when she goes for the $80,000 Osunitas Stakes on July 18.

Talking of the San Clemente, Her Emmynency is looking to follow in the hoof-steps of her illustrious stable-mate by gunning for the same prestigious Grade II contest on July 19. If she wins, Her Emmynency will pocket a cool $200,000.

The flying two-year-old, The Zip Zip Man, a resounding winner on his debut at Arlington recently, might go for the $125,000 Colin Stakes up at Woodbine on July 8. And if he performs with aplomb in Canada, don’t be surprised to see him turn up at the Grade III Arlington-Washington Futurity later in the year.

This Sunday, Warriorscmoutoplay makes the long trek to Florida for the Grade III Azalea Stakes at Gulfstream Park, worth $150,000.

We also have news on Jessica’s Star, who was tailed off in the Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Handicap over the weekend. Jessica’s Star was found to have bled in the race, and will now have a restorative holiday with which to recharge the batteries. Having left for the farm yesterday, he’s already got his feet up, margarita in hand, and enjoying a well-earned siesta.

As for this week, Stidham has Aftermarketspoiler in at Arlington Thursday, and Amira J, Rikco Man and Lewis Vale in on Friday at the Chicago track. The mighty Zubi Zubi Zu heads to Canterbury Park the same day.

Don’t forget to check back in again later this week for a look ahead to the weekend action.
