Four runs, four wins!

Four wins out of four runners – that’s the way the Stidham barn ushers in Independence Day weekend!

Lewis Vale got the ball rolling with an impressive win at Arlington for owner David Ross. Then came the barn-storming performance of debutante, Amira J.

Owned by Dan and Ike Thrash and Janet and Sam Alley, Amira J destroyed a smart-looking field of maidens when storming to a fourteen length victory. This daughter of Sky Mesa looks like yet another smart young lady for connections.

After Amira J came Rikco Man, who last time out broke his maiden at the second time of asking for owners Good Stuff Stable, and who made an even more favorable impression this go around. While over at Canterbury Park, Zubi Zubi Zu made it four-out-of-four when nosing to victory for owners Christine and Phil Hatfield.

Independence Day weekend 2015 could prove even more memorable for the Stidham stable, as Katie’s Eyes bids to extend her unbeaten run for the barn when she lines up in the $200,000 Grade II Highlander Stakes at Woodbine Sunday.

Katie’s Eyes, owned by Dan and Ike Thrash and Janet and Sam Alley, has won a couple of nice stake races already this year, and she faces a total of six opponents as she bids for more black type in the six furlong race on the turf. Jockey Patrick Husbands takes the mount.

Over at Gulfstream Park the same day, Warriorcmoutoplay will bid to make it four in a row when she lines up in the $150,000 Grade III Azalea Stakes, run over seven furlongs. Owned in a partnership between Feel The Thunder Stable, Breeheim, Herman and the Haynes Stables LLC, Warriorscmoutoplay was a mighty winner of the Jostle Stakes last time out, and she’s a 6-1 shot to overcome her eight other rivals in Florida. Jockey Jamie Theriot takes the mount.

At Arlington tomorrow, Stidham sends out Thestarvingartist, Tocqueville and Follow the Kitten, while on Sunday, he saddles both Dr. Clark and Kingston Terrace at the Chicago track. Fancy Ticket heads to Ellis Park on Sunday, too.

Don’t forget to check back in again next week for a round up of the weekend action.
