The admirably consistent Kingston Terrace completed a hat-trick of victories today at Arlington for owners Dare to Dream Stable.
Kingston Terrace was winning her fifth race this year, and her seventh overall, when producing the goods under jockey Manny Esquivel at Arlington, one day after owners Twin Creeks Racing Stables saw Alyczara, their three-year-old daughter of Afleet Alex, run away with her maiden victory yesterday under man-of-the moment, Florent Geroux.
With the stable in such red-hot form, Stidham can look forward to a nice book of runners to wage war with over the weekend, but he will be without the services of the exciting two-year-old D. Schifflett, who was scheduled to line up in the Arlington-Washington Futurity tomorrow. D. Schifflett has been scratched from the race.
Nevertheless, Stidham still has Cadet Captain, Gotsomemojo, Shoot the Loop and Thestarvingartist entered at Arlington tomorrow, while Annie’s Curls lines up at Del Mar Sunday.
We also have news of some of the stable stars:
Her Emmynency, who ran such a fine race in defeat in last weekend’s Grade I Del Mar Oaks, could line up next in the Grade I QEII at Keeneland in October.
“She ran a great race,” said Stidham. “Especially because she was bouncing back to form after a disappointing run in the Grade II San Clemente last time out, and that was probably because of the wet turf. She’s come out of the race very well, and it’s all systems go for the QEII at Keeneland.”
Leigh Court could head next to the Grade II Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes next month – a race that might also feature the stable’s Pirate’s Trove. The Masters is seen as a stepping stone for Leigh Court en route to the Breeders’ Cup.
Amira J and The Zip Zip Man could each head to Woodbine for the Natalma and Summer Stakes respectively, both of which are also win-and-your-in races for the Breeders’ Cup, said Stidham.
