Pinnacle Peak seeking Sense!

While the eyes of the racing world will be focused on Keeneland today, the Stidham stable sends out a whole Armada of runners all over the country this weekend.

At the head of that army sits Pinnacle Peak, who lines up tomorrow in the $80,000 Street Sense Stakes at Churchill Downs. Pinnacle Peak faces ten other rivals, and enjoys the able services of man-of-the-moment, jockey Florent Geroux. The 8-1 shot is already a stake winner this year, having already claimed the Prairie Meadows Juvenile Mile Stakes.

But there’s a whole host of other action for fans of the stable to enjoy this weekend. Here’s today’s entries:

Laurel Park
He’s a Dandy Candy – Race 6, Maiden Special Weight
Dewey Lake – Race 7, Starter Optional Claiming $16,000

Cadet Captain – Race 4, Allowance Optional Claiming $16,000

Tomorrow’s entries:

Churchill Downs
Go Ghetto – Race 4, Maiden Special Weight
Tiger Paw – Race 7, Maiden Special Weight

Laurel Park
Kingston Terrace – Race 4, Starter Allowance $25,000

Parx Racing
Heart Stopper – Race 6, Claiming $20,000

The barn is heading into the weekend on a high. Joe Mambo, owned by Twin Creeks Racing Stables, broke his maiden at the fifth time of asking yesterday, with a resounding victory at Meadowlands. Snappy out of the gates, Joe Mambo led for the vast majority of the race, passing the post one-and-a-half lengths too good under jockey Jose Ferrer.
