Lovely Lou!

Another weekend, another winner – things seem to be getting rather repetitive around the Stidham barn at present!

Lou, a two-year-old filly by Gio Ponti, was recording her second career win on only her third start. Owned by Thad Ackel and ridden by Florent Geroux, Lou was by far and away the best in the race, and finished four lengths ahead of the pack as she whizzed past the post. Given Stidham’s fine track record with fillies, Lou has a nice future ahead of her. Don’t be surprised to see her contesting a little black type before too long.

We should also make up for a terrible omission: we forgot to mention Bladerunner’s fine win at Delta Downs over a week ago! This three-year-old son of Hard Spun, owned by DARRS Inc, was breaking his maiden on his second attempt, and couldn’t have been more impressive in putting the race to bed by a commanding five-and-a-half lengths.
