Forte first again!

La Bruna Forte produced a superlative performance to claim the third win of her career yesterday at Fair Grounds.

Nicely positioned by jockey Mitchell Murrill, La Bruna Forte came with her winning run around the home turn, jostling for contention before kicking clear down the home stretch. La Bruna Forte has been a real star for owners Empyrean Stables down the years, and this result shows that her winning days are far from over.

Now to the weekend action. The potential star of the show is Gotsomemojo, who lines up in the $50,000 Keith Gee Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds tomorrow. One of ten runners lining up in the race, Gotsomemojo, a three-year-old son of Paddy O’Prado, is looking for the first black type of his career under Mitchell Murrill.
