Comeback queens!

It’s the Mardi Gras Stakes at Fair Grounds tomorrow, which features comeback queens Warriorscmoutoplay and Leigh Court.

The $60,000 race over five and a half furlongs is a return to the track for both of Stidham’s flying fillies. Warriorscmoutoplay, ridden by Jamie Theriot, won the Jostle Stakes last year, and is having her first run since July last year. Leigh Court, with Florent Geroux on board, is having her first run since October. Former champion three-year-old filly in Canada, Leigh Court was twice stake-race placed last year. A maximum 14 runners go to post tomorrow in the Mardi Gras, and word from the stable is that both are flying.
