Doubling up!

A tidy double at Fair Grounds on Sunday wrapped up another fruitful weekend of action for the Stidham barn.

First up was View From the Top, who showed great tenacity under jockey Mitchell Murrill to break her maiden. Owned by Pin Oak Stud, this five-year-old daughter of Sky Mesa took command at the top of the stretch, and never looked back, flashing past the post two-lengths to the good.

Following in View From the Top’s hoof-steps, Argot showed himself to be a colt with an exciting future ahead of him with a commanding performance under Murrill. Always near the head of affairs, Argot powered away down the stretch to record a three-and-a-quarter length victory. Owned by Stone Farm, this three-year-old son of Stroll looks booked in for a return to pattern company sooner rather than later.
