What an Angel!

Michael Faber’s Dare to Dream stable had a nice winner yesterday at Arlington when Kara’a Angel claimed her second career win under jockey Mitchell Murrill.

Always up there with the pace, Kara’a Angel came clear down the straight to record a three-length victory at the wire, and though she was later claimed, Stidham claimed in return the fourth place finisher, Miss Swift Kitty.

As for the weekend, Stidham’s black type possibility is Secret Someone, who has her first run for the Stidham stable in the Lady Canterbury Stakes – a $100,000 race over a mile. Jockey Alex Canchari has the ride, and she’s a 4-1 shot on the Morning line.

Secret Someone last ran fourth in the Glen Hill Farm One Dreamer Stakes at Kentucky Downs last September, and while the five-year-old mare has yet to garner any black-type, she’s always shown talent for her owners, Mt. Brilliant Farm. And hopes are high that Stidham (a veritable dab-hand with the girls), can squeeze further improvement from his charge.
