Diadura a diamond!
Diadura absolutely trounced the field in Saturday’s Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes at Arlington, in the process maintaining Stidham’s recent blistering run of form.
A little steady out of the gates under Carlos Marquez Jr, Diadura had to bully and barge her way to the front around the turn. But once clear, she showed a tremendous turn of foot down the stretch to surge clear of the pack, passing the post a good five-and-a-half lengths clear of the second horse home.
This two-year-old daughter of Hard Spun is owned by Empyrean Stables and Two Princesses. Now two-for-two, she clearly possesses a tremendous engine, and a step up into graded stake company is surely on the cards. Exciting times indeed!
