Trainer on fire!

Mike Stidham has broken from the gates at the start of the latest Fair Grounds winter season like a scalded cat, with five wins on the board already.

Speedway Stables’ Acapella got the ball rolling over the weekend with a resolute win under jockey Winston Kay on the Saturday. The following day, Stidham turned the heat up higher.

Rickey’s Girl, owned by Stallionaire Enterprises, made her second racecourse appearance a winning one, striding clear under Colby Hernandez. While Panic Stables’ Conquest Tiz One returned after a nice break to show her rivals a clean pair of heels under jockey Sophie Doyle. Both fillies look to have bright days ahead.

Over at Churchill Downs on Saturday, Proforma under Chris Landeros was another to win on only his second career start for DARRS Inc. Keep you eyes peeled for when this two-year-old Munnings gelding next appears.
