Lightening start!

Another weekend, another batch of winners and 100 winners for the season – the Stidham stable is cooking on gas at the moment!

Let’s start with Rapid Rhythm, who won the $50,000 Battle of New Orleans Stakes at Fair Grounds on Saturday. Robert Evans’ four-year-old daughter of Successful Appeal was winning her second stake race in a row, having claimed the Oakley Stakes back in September, this time coming with a rattling run to win by half-a-length under jockey James Graham.

The same afternoon, Stallionaire Enterprises’ Bobby the Train, a two-year-old gelding by Pioneerof the Nile, made a scintillating debut when running away with a nice looking Maiden Special Weight under jockey Mitchell Murrill. This gorgeous young horse looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

Yesterday, Philip Maas’ Gotsomemojo gained a well deserved second career victory, when running out a nice winner Mitchell Murrill. This tough gelding can keep paying his way throughout the winter.

Stidham’s lightening start leaves him snapping on the heels of the leading trainer at Fair Grounds in terms of  prize money won ($220,980), and leading the pack in terms of wins, with eight individual victories already.

Here’s the week’s entries:
