Proforma sweet in Sugar Bowl!

DARRS, Inc’s Proforma is a young horse fast on the improve, judging by his scintillating performance in the $50,000 Sugar Bowl Stakes at Fair Grounds over the weekend.

Settled nicely on the outside by jockey Florent Geroux, Proforma was kicked on with outside of the furlong pole, and stretched nicely clear of the field to win by three lengths.

This two-year-old gelded son of Munnings has raced only three times in his career, winning his last two races. This was a decent field he tore apart, and there’s surely even greater days ahead for the winning connections.

Proforma’s victory was emblematic of the fine start Stidham has made to the latest Fair Grounds winter meet. He’s now leading the pack in both wins and prize money earned, with 10 wins and $325,430 in the kitty.
