Stidham to the double!

This is a big weekend for the Stidham stable, and it couldn’t have kicked off in any finer fashion when She’s Got the Mojo and Storming the Beach produced the goods at Arlington this afternoon.

Owned by the Dare to Dream Stable and ridden by Santo Sanjur, She’s Got the Mojo was winning her first race after a series of good efforts. Then, two races later, Storming the Beach ran out a nice winner under jockey Julio Felix for owners Hill ‘N Dale Farm to make it victory number one for the season for the five-year-old gelding.

What these nice victories highlight is just how red-hot the barn is at present. Which is good news for the weekend runners, including a couple of hot stake race performers.

First up tomorrow at Monmouth Park, Zipessa lines up against a maximum of 13 others in the $100,000 GIII Eatontown Stakes, over a mile and one sixteenth on the turf.

Multiple GI placed Zipessa had a nice seasonal re-introduction last month at Belmont Park, and she’s a 5-1 shot on the Morning Line to add to her big race haul.

Over at Penn National tomorrow, Diadura lines up in the $200,000 Penn Oaks – a mile race on the turf. Ridden by Horacio Karamanos, Diadura faces seven other rivals, and she’s a 15-1 shot on the Morning Line to add to her win last September in the Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes.

Before we get to the rest of the weekend entries, here’s a look at what’s happening with some of the stable’s stars:
