Another great week!
As part of a good week for the Stidham barn, Robert Evans’ No Interest claimed her second career victory yesterday at Monmouth Park, under a well-judged ride by jockey Joe Bravo.
Given a patient ride, No Interest was delivered down the stretch, and won by a head. Obviously in great heart at present, No Interest looks like she has plenty more winning days ahead of her.
The day before at Delaware Park, One Last Shot claimed a third career victory for owners Speedway Stables. Stakes-placed One Last Shot was given a peach of a ride by Daniel Centeno, and with this nice confidence booster under her belt, this four-year-old daughter of Any Given Saturday can perhaps be expected to step back up into back type company some time in the future.
And now for the weekend:
Today at Laurel Park, R Naja is one of six to line up in the $100,000 Stormy Blues Stakes. A ready winner of the Star Shoot Stakes in April, R Naja is a 12-1 shot under jockey Alex Cintron to prevail in the five and a half furlong sprint.
Over at Monmouth Park, Watch Your Six is one of eight to line up in the $75,000 Boiling Springs Stakes. The lightly raced daughter of Distreeetly Mine is a 4-1 shot on the Morning Line to claim the one mile and one sixteenth race.
