For fans of the Stidham stable, you’ll find more stakes here with us tomorrow than at a National Cattleman’s Association BBQ in Jackson, Mississippi!
And with so much to cover, I’ll jump right in.
Tomorrow at Arlington, Diadura (Carlos Marquez) and Shackin Up (Christopher Emigh) are two of six runners to line up in the $65,000 Richard Scherer Memorial Stakes – a six furlong sprint on the all-weather. Shakin Up, a 15-1 shot, is gunning for a first black type victory, while Diadura, 9-2, already has a win in the Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes to her name.
Over at Laurel Park, the five-year-old Euroboss faces off against ten other runners in the $100,000 Sensible Lady Turf Dash Stakes. With Victor Carrasco on board, Euroboss is a 15-1 shot to prevail in the six furlong sprint on the turf.
One race later, Highly Prized hopes to lift the $100,000 Laurel Turf Cup Stakes under Sheldon Russell. Making his second stake race appearance, Highly Prized is a 20-1 shot to strike gold in the mile-and-a-half race on the turf.
Over at Parx Racing, the rapidly improving Charged faces nine other runners in the $100,000 Hall of Fame Stakes – a race over one and one sixteenth miles on the turf. Ridden by Jorge Vargas, Charged is a fancied 6-1 shot.
Here’s the rest of the weekend action:
Prolific – Race 3, Maiden Special Weight
Harv Won’t Tap – Race 4, Claiming $25,000
Jag – Race 6, Waiver Maiden Claiming
