Mammoth update!

It’s another potentially humdinger of a weekend for the Stidham barn, with big runners galore all over the joint, but before we get to all the good stuff ahead, let’s take a look back at the good stuff that has happened this week!

On Tuesday at Presque Isle Downs, Godolphin’s Classic Fit romped home under jockey Jose Bracho to claim her second win in a row. This talented two-year-old daughter of Bernardini is surely poised for a step up in class.

Over at Mountaineer the same day, Godolphin’s Tapit 3-year-old filly She’s Funny absolutely hosed in under Luis Quinones, shrugging the monkey off her back and, in the process, making herself a valuable broodmare prospect.

On Thursday, Godolphin’s Assemblyman, a 2-year-old son of Speightstown, blew the opposition away under Dana Whitney at Penn National. On only his second race, this exciting youngster will have learned much from the experience.

Then today, Mark Breen’s Birdsnest Party won his third race of the year so far, winning at Keeneland in convincing fashion under Mitchell Murrill. You wouldn’t bet against a forth!

Ok, now to the weekend!

Tomorrow at Keeneland, stable star Synchrony goes for GI gold in the $1 million Shadwell Turf Mile Stakes. With Corey Lanerie on board, Synchrony is drawn 6 of 14 to take his graded stake score to 5 for the year, and he’s an 8-1 shot to do just that.

Over at Belmont Park, Proforma is drawn 6 of 8 in the $150,000 Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational Stakes under Joe Bravo. A winner last time out of the GIII Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint Stakes, Proforma is a 5-1 shot on the Morning Line.

Then, at Woodbine, Carnival Colors is drawn 4 of 7 in the $125,000 GIII Mazarine Stakes. This exciting 2-year-old is ridden by Luis Contreras, and she’s a 5-2 shot.

On Sunday at Belmont Park, Credit Swap has an entry in the $150,000 Futurity Stakes, drawn 8 of 12, with David Cohen on board. Credit Swap also has an entry in the $200,000 Indian Summer Stakes at Keeneland, drawn 8 of 12 with Albin Jimenez on board.
