Big day, maybe bigger weekend?

Thanksgiving day at Fair Grounds yesterday was a triumphant one for the Stidham stable – three nice wins, ahead of a helluva of an exciting weekend!

First up was Superioritycomplex, who won her second race in the U.S. for owners Mt. Brilliant Farm and Orrin Ingram, running away with Joe Brave down the stretch to win by a resounding 3 1/2 lengths. One wonders whether there’s a bit of black type to be won with her.

Two races later, DARRS Inc.’s Zumurudee claimed his second career victory, producing an even more impressive performance under Joe Bravo than Superioritycomplex earlier in the afternoon, whizzing past the post 4 1/2 lengths too good.

Finally, the tough 2-year-old Credit Swap got back into the winning groove (again under Joe Bravo), toughing it out to win by 3/4 of a length for owners Winston, Marc, Schifano, George T. and Rob Auerbach. Credit Swap is now 2 for three, and he’s far from done yet, that’s for sure.

And now to this weekend, where the Stidham stable’s sending a raiding party to Del Mar.

Tomorrow Elsa goes for gold in the $100,000 G3 Jimmy Durante Stakes, with the red-hot Bravo on board. Drawn 3 of 13, Elsa is aiming to get back in the winning groove after finding life tough in a couple of decent stake races. She’s a 20-1 shot on the Morning Line.

Then, it’s the turn of Synchrony to continue his remarkable season when he’s drawn 7 of 12 in the $200,000 G2 Seabiscuit Handicap. A four-time graded stake winner this year, Synchrony is a 9-2 shot with Bravo back on board.
