Catching up!

It’s a busy old weekend for the Stidham stable, with the headline act being Tackett, who lines up in the G3 LeComte Stakes at Fair Grounds tomorrow.

But before we get to his chances, let’s take a look at all the stable winners this past week, starting with  M and M Stable’s Milk Chocolate, who broke his maiden in stylish fashion under Joe Bravo at Fair Grounds last Saturday.

One day later at Tampa Bay Downs, Regal Image achieved the same feat, running out an even more impressive winner under Jesus Castanon. This young Medaglia d’Oro gelding of Godolphin’s is another to keep an eye on for the boys in blue.

That same afternoon at Fair Grounds, Tasting the Stars was yet ANOTHER maiden winners for the barn (on her racecourse debut) under Shaun Bridgmohan for owners Newtown Anner Stud. This daughter of Bodemeister ran away with the race by 5 1/4 lengths.

As for Tackett, who’s drawn 3 of 14 in tomorrow’s $200,000 LeComte Stakes, this son of Limehouse is testing his potential Derby metal. A winner of his last two starts, Limehouse has Joe Bravo on board, and is a 6-1 shot on the Morning Line.
