Laurelaplooza!

Hold on to your britches, Stidham stable fans, for the barn is eyeing up a stakes-runner four-timer at Laurel Park and Monmouth Park tomorrow!

But before we take a look at those four exciting hopes, let’s review the week’s action, which includes five fantastic victories. FIVE!!

On Wednesday, Seductive got the ball rolling under Trevor McCarthy, positively running away with the race for owners DARRS Inc. This European import looks like she’s got more up her belt.

Let’s move onto Arlington Park, where Our Pal Gordy, owned by Barry Golden, looked a smart individual indeed on his debut, winning comfortably under Mitchell Murrill. This Temple City 2-year-old is one to keep on the right side of, that’s for sure.

At Penn National yesterday, the consistent Rainbow Warrior broke her maiden by a neck under Julio Hernandez for the Dare to Dream Stable. That will have done her broodmare prospects the world of good.

Over at Belmont Park, the City Zip 2-year-old filly Alms looked like she could be right out of the top drawer for owners Godolphin, romping home on her debut under Joel Rosario. Alms – you heard it here first!

Godolphin and Stidham doubled up over at Arlington Park, when the lovely Street Sense 2-year-old colt Albert Park made the same kind of stylish debut under Mitchell Murrill. Again, Albert Park – you heard it here first!

And now to the weekend action!

At Laurel Park, Love Beach is drawn 4 of 7 in the $200,000 Selima Stakes, a 1 1/16th turf race. With Trevor McCarthy on board, Love Beach is a 9-2 shot to follow up on her debut victory at Colonial Downs.

In the $200,000 Laurel Futurity, a turf race over 1 1/16th miles, Jack the Ripper (Sheldon Russell) is drawn 5 and Doc Boy (Feargal Lynch) is drawn 7 of 9 runners. Jack the Ripper is a 10-1 shot and Doc Boy is 6-1.

Over at Monmouth Park, Call On Mischief is drawn 10 of 11 in the Hollywood Wildcat Stakes, a 6 furlong sprint. Nik Juarez takes the ride on this 5-1 shot.

Phew!
