Mike Stidham fields a triumvirate of runners this weekend as he bids to solidify the good start he’s made at the latest Fair Grounds winter meet.
On Saturday, Stidham runs Love Blind in an allowance race on her North American racecourse debut. Love Blind, a three-year-old filly by Not For Sale, hails from Argentina, where she had a couple of runs, winning her last start after running a promising fourth on her debut. Robbie Albarado takes the mount.
On Sunday, it’s the turn of Arlington Gateway and E. M. Maximus to strut their stuff, with the two-year-old filly, Arlington Gateway, proving an especially interesting runner. She made her racecourse bow only 21 days ago, when she ran promisingly for a long way before tiring in the straight. Sure to strip fitter this time, she has the assistance of Chris Landeros in the saddle. E. M. Maximus, however, is on the also eligible list as he bids for a Fair Grounds three-timer this meet.
Check back in again next week for all the news of the weekend runners.
