Every Way to the winner’s circle

Mike Stidham got the week off to the best possible start when Every Way demolished the opposition today at Sam Houston.

It didn’t take Every Way long to forge to the lead once the gates opened, and when she did she proved impossible to reel back, crossing the finish line an imperious six lengths in front of the next horse home, jockey Eddie Baird on board. Every Way, a four-year-old filly by City Zip has been highly tried in the past, and she’s already in possession of a little black type from her third place finish in the Grade III Marazine Stakes at Woodbine during her two-year-old season. With this nice confidence booster under her belt, she can begin to once again work her way up through the ranks.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week at Fair Grounds, Stidham has entered Jessica’s Star, Rock On This and Brown Almighty on Thursday, while on Friday, Rock On This, Song To You and Love Blind are pencilled in to run.

Check back in again later this week for a look ahead at the weekend action.
