A real Lady!

New Orleans Lady’s victory at Arlington Saturday means that, with $940,790 in the kitty, Mike Stidham’s still atop the trainers table (based on prize money earned) with less than a month left of this summer’s meet at the Chicago track, meaning he’s still in line for his second straight trainer’s title!

New Orleans Lady, owned by Twin Creeks Racing Stable, claimed her second career victory Saturday when streaking clear under Carlos Marquez. Quick out of the gates (hardly a rare occurrence for a Stidham runner!), Marquez gave his mount a finely judged ride up front, quickening nicely down the stretch to win by a comfortable length-and-a-half.

She looks just the sort for Stidham to perhaps find a little black type later down the line.

Here’s a look ahead to the week’s entries:

New Trier – Race 4, Maiden Claiming
Queen Pauline – Race 8, Maiden Special Weight
Every Moment – Race 8, Maiden Special Weight

Ellis Park
Gervais – Race 7, Maiden Special Weight
