Who’s a Super Star?
Dare to Dream Stable’s Sheza Super Star made quite the impression Thursday at Hawthorne to make her racecourse bow a winning one, under jockey Carlos Montalvo.
This two-year-old daughter of Graeme Hall made nearly all the running, showing great tenacity to remain in front where it mattered. Clearly in possession of a big heart, Sheza Super Star has a bright future ahead of her.
And now for the weekend action!
Tomorrow at Fair Grounds, Stidham sends out a double shot at the $50,000 Battle of New Orleans Stakes, over a lickety-split five-and-a-half furlongs. Rapid Rhythm with James Graham on board is a 7/2 shot on the Morning Line, and Full Tap, with Mitchell Murrill on board, is a 9/2 shot. Ten go to post.
Over at Hawthorne that same afternoon, She’s Fine Tuned is one of 11 scheduled to line up in the $50,000 Whitworth Illinois Debutante Stakes. With jockey Santo Sanjur in the saddle, She’s Fine Tuned is a 4-1 shot to break her maiden against a nice bunch of fillies.
