On a memorable weekend for the stable, Stallion Heiress pulverized the opposition in the $50,000 Joseph E. Spanky Broussard Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds Saturday, proving, in no uncertain terms, that the cloud hanging over the barn these past few weeks is well and truly banished!
Leading all the way, Stallion Heiress blitzed the field under jockey Mitchell Murrill, and passed the winning post more than seven lengths clear of the second horse home.
Stallionnaire Enterprises’ three-year-old daughter of Exhange Rate is now two-for-two, and is clearly a filly with an exceptional future ahead of her. And in Stidham, she has the very best handler in the country at guiding a young talented horse to exceptional heights!
Stallion Heiress wasn’t the only exciting winner on the day for the Stidham-Murrill team. Haniel, a three-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast, made her racecourse debut a winning won, flashing home in good style to give owners Sangreal Investments much to dream about in the upcoming months.
