Rapid Rhythm for the stake race four-timer?

Big weekend for the Stidham stable, with Rapid Rhythm looking for a fourth stakes victory in a row in the Giant’s Causeway Stakes at Keeneland today, and R Naja shooting for the stars tomorrow in the Star Shoot Stakes at Woodbine.

First up, Signal Hill Farms’ Highly Prized ran out a nice winner at Laurel Park yesterday, under a nicely judged ride by Mitchell Murrill. This was Highly Prized’s second win in a row, and he doesn’t look done yet.

This bodes well for the fortunes of the stable today, with Rapid Rhythm facing 10 other runners in the $70,000 Giant’s Causeway Stakes, under James Graham. This in-form filly is a 6-1 shot on the Morning Line, but faces a tough field that includes last year’s winner, Exxagerated.

Tomorrow, R Naja faces 6 other rivals in the $100,000 Star Shoot Stakes at Woodbine. This lightly raced filly is bidding for her fist stake race win under jockey Luis Contreras, though she finished third in last year’s Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes, and is a 8-1 shot with the Morning Line.
