Zippy Zipessa makes 2017 debut!
Zipessa, last year’s winner of the GIII Dr. James Penny Memorial Stakes and a duel GI-placed runner, makes her eagerly awaited 2017 in today’s GII Sheepshead Bay Stakes at Belmont Park.
She faces five other rivals in today’s race, which is worth $200,000. And she’s a 7-2 shot on the Morning Line to prevail under Mitchell Murrill. And it’s great to see one of Stidham’s stable stalwarts back out and strutting her stuff once again.
