The Stidham stable is pointing not one, not two, but three horses at stake races at Pimlico over what is this, Preakness Stakes weekend.
And what’s more, the stable couldn’t be in any finer shape as the racing extravaganza kicks off.
Today at Pimlico, Godolphin’s Charged did just that (late home towards the wire) under Mitchell Murrill, breaking in the process his maiden.
Earlier in the day at Pimlico, Canny picked up her second race of the year for owners Feel The Thunder Stable, Alan Herman, and Haynes Stables. And her winning days sure don’t look over yet.
And now for the big races Stidham’s pointing towards tomorrow.
After finishing third last time out in the GIII Whimsical Stakes, Euroboss is going for more black type in the $100,000 The Very One Stakes, under Julien Leparoux. She faces ten other rivals, and is a 12-1 shot on the Morning Line.
Then, it’s Proforma’s turn in the $200,000 Chick Lang Stakes. After winning the Sugar Bowl Stakes last time out, Proforma’s quick ascent up the racing ladder takes on another dimension in this tough looking race against eight other rivals. Florent Geroux rides, and he’s a 10-1 shot on the Morning Line.
Zipessa makes a quick return in the $150,000 GIII Gallorette Stakes. Under Joe Bravo, Zipessa faces nine other rivals, and she’s a 9-2 shot on the Morning Line. And, having made her seasonal debut only two weeks ago (when finishing fifth in the GII Sheepshead Bay Stakes), this talented daughter of City Zip should strip much fitter this time.
