What a weekend!

The dust has settled on yet another unforgettable weekend for the Stidham stable, with stake race glory coming amid a flurry of fine performances!

Dare to Dream Stables’ Jockamo’s Song was a superb winner of the $100,000 Louisiana Legends Sprint Stakes at Evangeline Saturday. This five-year-old son of Half Ours broke a little slowly, but jockey Gerard Melancon sat cool, and delivered his mount with a sustained run down the stretch to win by a length.

This was Jockamo’s Song’s third career stakes victory, and his earnings now sit just under the $320,000 mark. Boy, what a fine servant he’s proven to connections.

Over at Delaware Park, Zipessa ran her eye-balls out when going down by only a nose in the GIII Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes, having led for most of the race. This run shows in no uncertain terms that Empyrean Stables’ daughter of City Zip is still as god as ever at the age of five.

The Stidham barn enjoyed another good win on Saturday, when Set of J’s delivered the goods on his first start for the barn at Suffolk Downs. JJJ Thoroughbred Racing’s six-year-old son of Wildcat Heir was given a peach of a front running ride by Angel Arroyo to win by a comfortable two lengths.
