Busy news day!

With so much Stidham stable news to catch up on, I’m not going to beat around the bush for once! Let’s start with the winners.

Last Saturday proved a fruitful one for the barn, with a winner apiece for the boys in blue at Monmouth Park and Delaware!

First up at Monmouth, the Godolphin three-year-old Cedartown broke his maiden in convincing fashion under jockey Antonio Gallardo, sluicing clear of the field to win by a healthy 5 1/4 lengths. Expect to hear more from this fine son of Candy Ride in the near future.

Over at Delaware, the world-famous Godolphin stable enjoyed win number two for the day, when Larkin showed what an honest filly she is by knuckling out a fine win under jockey Carol Cedeno. This well-bred Bernardini filly can only progress with this nice confidence booster under her belt.

At Delaware on Wednesday, the two-year-old Dynashe absolutely pulverised the field on her racecourse debut, galloping away from the sorry stragglers to win by nine lengths under Carol Cedeno. DARRS Inc’s daughter of First Defense is an absolute stunner, and looks to have black type written all over her.

And then, yesterday at Delaware, Harv Won’t Tap claimed his second career victory with a stylish win in under jockey Daniel Centeno. Good Stuff Stable’s tough as granite son of Divine Park looks like he won’t have to wait long for career win number three, by the looks of things!

And now for the weekend entries.

Headline act for tomorrow is One Last Shot, who’s gunning for gold in the Minnesota H. B. P. A. Distaff Stakes at Canterbury Park. The $50,000 turf race over a mile looks a good spot for the ultra-consistent daughter of Any Given Saturday, as she’s looking for a first black type victory. Alex Canchari rides the Morning Line 4-1 shot.

Headline act for Sunday is R Naja, who lines up in the $125,000 GIII Ontario Colleen Stakes at Woodbine under Jesse M. Campbell. Nine are entered in the race – a mile on the turf. And the Star Shoot Stakes winner is a 20-1 shot on the Morning Line.
