Heiress looking for the money!
It’s Preakness weekend, and while the eyes of the world will be on Justify in the big one, fans of the Stidham stable will be watching for how the talented Stallion Heiress fares in the G3 Gallorette Stakes at Pimlico tomorrow.
Eight go to post in the $150,000 event over one and one sixteenth miles on the turf, and she’s drawn 4. Already a duel stakes winner, Stallion Heiress has the able services of Florent Geroux in the saddle.
But, the one big question mark hanging over her is how she’ll cope with the soupy conditions at the sopping wet Baltimore track.
Before we move onto the weekend entries, let’s cast our minds back to last weekend, when Speedway Stable’s five-year-old Quality Road gelding, Huntington Drive, showed that he’s a lightly raced colt fast on the improve with a dominant display at Monmouth Park.
Don’t be surprised to see this exciting horse step up in grade at some point…
