Winners, winners, chicken dinners!
The Stidham stable didn’t fire out just the one winner this weekend. It didn’t fire out two winners. No, from only three runners Saturday (and four the whole weekend long), Stidham Racing enjoyed an amazing three winners and one second place finish – for a 75 percent strike-rate! How’s that for smokin’ hot!
Rosebud’s Hope got the ball rolling in the first at Monmouth Park, leading from start to finish before passing the wire in convincing fashion for owners the Haynes Stables and Alan Herman. Paco Lopez did the steering.
Two races later, owner Mark Breen’s Birdsnest Party had to do it the hard way, knuckling out a neck victory under jockey Antonio Gallardo. This was the tough-as-teak gelding’s second win this year alone.
Over at Arlington, everyone was raving about Love Shack Baby’s maiden victory under jockey Christopher Emigh. Signal Hill Farms’ three-year-old daughter of Shackleford has only raced twice, but appears fast on the improve, and is the sort Stidham does mighty fine with!
