Synchrony again!

Pin Oak Stable’s Synchrony added to his impressive medal haul this year with a run-away win in the G3 Oceanport Stakes at Monmouth Park yesterday.

Delivered with a withering stretch run by Joe Bravo, Synchrony powered clear of the rest of the field in the $100,000 contest to win by 2 1/4 lengths. This was Synchrony’s third graded stakes win of the year, having already claimed the G2 Muniz Memorial Handicap and the G3 Fair Grounds Handicap earlier in the year. According to Stidham, there might be some end of season grand plans for this talented turf performer.

“He’s a very classy horse who showed up today like we thought he would,” Stidham said, after the race. “He was able to give that good turn of foot when he needed it. We’re not sure what’s next for him, but this is certainly what we needed to see to take the step back up in Grade 1 and Grade 2 company.

Here’s the stable entries for the week:

Delaware Park
Good Marks – Race 8, Maiden Special Weight

Celtic Gold – Race 2, Claiming $4,000

And finally, below is a lovely picture of a couple of the stable ponies (both rescue horses) currently bunking together in Monmouth Park. Say hello!
