Woven into the stars!

The Stidham stable is gearing up for another few big days, but before we take a look at the weekend goodies, let’s glance backwards at an exciting winner for Godolphin on Wednesday.

Woven, a 2-year-old daughter of Stidham’s GI-winning Sutra, broke her maiden on the second try at Delaware, showing great tenacity to run down her stablemate under an inspired Keiber Coa. She’s yet another talented juvenile of Stidham’s for him to go to war with.

Now for the big race runners this weekend.

Tomorrow at Charles Town, the fast improving Blooming is drawn 3 of 10 in the $50,000 Misty Bennett Pink Ribbon Stakes. This is Blooming’s toughest assignment to date, by far, and this 15-1 shot has the services of Brian Pedroza in the saddle.

Over at Laurel Park, Elsa is looking for a first stakes victory in the $100,000 Selima Stakes. Sheldon Russell rides this 9/5 shot, who finished 3rd last time out in the Bolton Landing Stakes.
