Win, win, win!
Boom, boom, boom! The Stidham stable’s been firing out winners all week with the precision frequency of a Swiss watch!
The fun started on Monday, when the 3-year-old Tapit filly, Alfresco, pulverized the opposition on her racecourse debut at Delaware Park. Given a positive ride by Brian Pedroza, Alfresco stamped her self YET ANOTHER exciting Godolphin youngster to look out for in the Stidham barn.
It was Godolphin again who enjoyed a winner at Penn National yesterday, when Sunset Wish showed guts-aplenty to win by a neck under Julio Hernandez. This beautifully bred daughter of Malibu Moon will prove a valuable addition to the breeding shed one day.
Then today at Laurel Park, Devilinthedetails broke her maiden at the third time of asking under an excellently timed ride by Sheldon Russell. Owned by Summer Wind Equine, Devilinthedetails, a 3-year-old daughter of Violence, looks to have a bright future ahead of her.
And now for the weekend. At Belmont Park tomorrow, Twisted Tom is drawn 5 of 11 in the $300,000 Empire Classic Handicap. Having his first run for the barn, Twisted Tom has the able services of Joe Bravo in the saddle, and they’re a 10-1 shot on the Morning Line.
This is the sole other weekend entry, for tomorrow:
Keeneland
Superioritycomplex (IRE) – Race 8, Allowance
And lastly, as you can see in the following table, Stidham has one of the highest win percentages in the country in terms of Graded Stake victories on the turf. Go team Stidham!
