The bandwagon rolls on…

Fresh from another great few days last weekend, when the Stidham stable landed the valuable G3 Jimmy Durante Stakes at Del Mar with the exciting Elsa, the barn has continued to fire out the winners this week.

On Wednesday at Tampa Bay Downs, Roy Gottlieb and Jerry Chez’s Mame broke her maiden in ready fashion under Pablo Morales. This three-year-old daughter of Blame looks nailed on for a follow up win in the right company.

Later on the same day, e Five Racing Thoroughbreds’ Good Marks knuckled out a second success in a row under Jose Bracho. This daughter of Arcano was subsequently claimed, however.

And now to the weekend entries, including a couple of exciting big race runners.

Tomorrow at Fair Grounds, One Last Shot goes for gold in Race 9, the $75,000 Richard R. Scherer Memorial Stakes. With plenty of black type already to her name, One Last Shot is seeking a first stakes victory, and is a 6-1 shot to prevail under jockey Miguel Mena.

Over at Gulfstream Park tomorrow, the in-form Birdsnest Party is drawn 1 of 10 in Race 10, the $125,000 Starter Stakes. Albin Jimenez takes the mount on the 8-1 shot on the Morning Line.
