Higher Power, all encompassing!

Pin Oak Stable’s Higher Power was a gift from the gods on Saturday at Fair Grounds, getting back into the winning groove in decisive fashion.

This 4-year-old son of Medaglia d’Oro was once thought to be potential Derby material, and ran in last year’s Rebel Stakes. He didn’t win that day, and hadn’t been back to the winner’s circle since – until Saturday that that is, showing a likeable attitude under jockey Corey Lanerie.

With this nice little confidence booster under his belt, here’s hoping Higher Power can now begin to fulfil his potential.

And here’s a look at the stable’s entries for the week ahead:

Fair Grounds
My Jilly – Race 6, Claiming $30,000

Fair Grounds
Mister – Race 10, Maiden Claiming $30,000

Fair Grounds
Keeneasabean – Race 9, Maiden Claiming $30,000

Tampa Bay
Cypress Point – Race 5, Allowance Optional Claiming
