Commonwealth hopes!
The big race action has moved onto Keeneland, and the Stidham stable is two-handed in the $200,000 G3 Commonwealth Stakes at the track Saturday. Before then, we’ve news on a couple of nice winners this week.
At Tampa Bay Downs Wednesday, Godolphin’s Desert Spring broke his maiden stylishly under Victor Severino. This 3-year-old son of Ghostzapper evidently has more fruitful days ahead of him.
Today at Tampa Bay, the Gary Davidson owned English Laughter won his third-career start under Samy Camacho. This 3-year-old son of English Channel is still on the improve.
In the seven furlong G3 contest Saturday, Proforma is drawn 3 of 14, and enjoys the services of Joe Bravo, while Supreme Aura will be ridden by the in-form Adam Beschizza, and is drawn 7. They’re 20-1 and 30-1 respectively.
