Triple-header!
What a weekend for the barn, with an across-the-card treble Saturday!
Orbert got the ball rolling over at Colonial Downs, showing great tenacity under jockey Sheldon Russell to win his second race in succession. This 3-year-old son of Orb is fast on the improve for owners DARRS Inc.
And then, the Stidham team scored two debut wins from two very exciting young juvenile prospects indeed.
Over at Monmouth Park, The 2-year-old Into Mischief filly, Call On Mischief, was professionalism personified on her debut, running out a gutsy winner under Nik Juarez. Owned by the illustrious Phoenix Thoroughbred, Call On Mischief looks just the sort of horse Sidham does so well with.
As does Crafty Angel, who hit the bullseye first time of asking over at Arlington Park. This 2-year-old daughter of Curlin couldn’t have shown a more pleasing attitude when scoring by a nose under Mitchell Murrill, and owners, Godolphin, have a lot to look forward to.
Indeed, keep an eye out for both these young fillies in the near future.
