Small but select!

It may not be the largest squad of weekend runners ever assembled by team Stidham, but what it lacks in numbers it more than makes up for in quality!

On Sunday at Aqueduct, Micheline is seeking to get back into the winning groove when drawn 4 of 10 in the $100,000 Chelsey Flower Stakes, over a mile on the turf.

Micheline, ridden Sunday by Jose Lezcano, won the Sorority Stakes on only her second start, but then subsequently ran down the field in the G1 Alcibiades Stakes (the winner of which has just won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies). She’s an 8-1 shot on the Morning Line for the Chelsey Flower Stakes.

Tomorrow at Churchill Downs, the 3-year-old Scat Daddy colt, Blackline, makes his debut in a nice-looking Maiden Special Weight under Mitchell Murrill.

Don’t forget to check back in Monday for a round-up of the weekend results.
