Catching up with Saguaro!
What an odd weekend for the Stidham stable – no runners whatsoever!
And so, let’s take a look back at last weekend, and a wonderful winner for the Newtown Anner Stud and Mark Breen owned Saguaro Row, who circled the field in the $100,000 Pumpkin Pie Stakes at Aqueduct.
“She broke a little slow. I rushed her a little bit to get her into the race and then I let her do what she wanted after that,” said Rosario, after the event. “She tried very hard.”
Thanks to a masterful Rosario ride at Aqueduct, Saguaro Row has now won four races and over $214,000 throughout her career. And now with this black type next to her name, she’s a valuable broodmare prospect indeed.
Now for a graded stakes victory!
