Gearing up for Thanksgiving!

The Stidham stable is gearing up for what looks like a very busy Thanksgiving period indeed, with runners all over the joint this week…

…and that includes runners at freshly re-opened Fair Grounds, the track beloved by Stidham.

“It’s great to be back at the old place,” said Stidham, recently. “Fair Grounds is a track we’ve enjoyed a lot of success at over the years. We’re heading into this year’s meet with a stable full of exciting horses, some of them established stars, some of them young up and coming sorts, and I’m sure we’ll put in another bold showing once again.”

Before we cast our eyes over the week’s entries, let’s look back at last week, and a fine winner at Delta Downs in the form of  Big Easy Racing’s Boss of Bourbon St.

Given a highly confident ride by Timothy Thornton, Boss of Bourbon St streaked past the post by nearly three lengths to the good, and this three-year-old son of Goldencents surely has more victories up his sleeve, given this performance.
