Weekend update
Speedway Stable’s Tizaprincessa was a fine winner for the stable at Tampa Bay Downs on Wednesday, showing great fortitude under jockey Jesus Lopez Castanon.
This was a second career victory for the 4-year-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy, and as a lightly-raced sort still, she’s entitled to more improvement.
As for this weekend, the stable’s big race hope is at Remington Park Sunday, when Embolden is drawn 8 of 12 in the $400,000 Remington Springboard Mile Stakes.
Embolden is a black type winner already, having won the Jamestown Stakes in September, and with Brian Joseph Hernandez on board this time, he’s a 9-2 shot on the Morning Line.
