Weekend update!
It’s been quite the week for the Stidham stable, what with four individual winners over the past seven days. This weekend promises to add to that tally. But first, let’s begin at the beginning!
Last Saturday, Speedway Stable’s Into Mischief filly Proposition showed speed and tenacity to win under Pablo Morales at Tampa Bay. The next day at Tampa Bay, Godolphin’s Medaglia D’Oro fily Embossed won her second straight race under Morales (Morales, again).
This past Wednesday at the same track, Hill ‘N Dale Farm’s Fly Nightly broke his maiden impressively under Tomas Mejia. Then, today at Fair Grounds, CJ Thoroughbreds’ Temple City filly, Trickle In, showed her rivals a clean pair of hooves under Brian Hernandez. Trickle In is one to keep an eye on in the near future, that’s for sure.
And now for the weekend’s big race entries. Ursula is drawn 3 of 8 in the $150,000 Silverbulletday Stakes at Fair Grounds on Saturday. Mitchell Murrill takes the ride on the 12-1 shot.
At Laurel Park that same afternoon, Enchanted Ghost is drawn 6 of 7 in the $75,000 Geisha Stakes over a mile. Sheldon Russell takes the ride on the 9-2 shot.
Over at Tampa Bay, Albert Park is drawn 6 of 7 in the $125,000 Pasco Stakes, over seven furlongs. Morales takes the ride on the 4-1 shot. Then, Classic Fit is drawn 6 of 7 in the $50,000 Wayward Lass Stakes, over 1 1/16th miles. Jesus Lopez Castanon takes the ride on the 3-1 shot.
Finally, Mo City will be ridden by Morales in the $150,000 Gasparilla Stakes, over 7 furlongs. The duo are drawn 10 of 11, and are an 8-1 shot on the Morning Line.
